The Guest-list

No celebration would be complete without your guests being there to help you celebrate. It can sometimes be advisable for you to make your guest-list first so that you know the size of venue you will need. If there are key people that you would like to be at your celebration you may need to check their availability before you reserve your celebration venue. If you are holding a surprise party, you need to be sure that the guest of honour is available on the date you have reserved. It wouldnt be a very good celebration without them would it!!

You also need to be sure that your guest list truly reflects whom you want to invite. But, the more people attending, the higher your budget needs to be. If you have a large guest list you may need to consider lower budget menus. If your priority is an expensive feast, you may need to look at cutting your guest-list so that you can afford the menu of your choice.

If guests are expected to pay for overnight accommodation or long distance taxi fares, they may consider declining your invitation. You need to ensure that your celebration will be well attended even if a few people do decline their invite.
